An ecosystem of 6 formats between embodied experience and analytical reflection.

Followly organises its projects along a continuum of formats because the practice of tracking itself unfolds between different modes of engagement. At one end lies direct, embodied experience through field workshops: moving through a landscape, observing the ground, sensing subtle changes in the environment. At the other lies reflection: the moment when observations are interpreted, discussed and connected to broader questions about perception, ecology or society.

Followly

is not

a platform.

Nor a centre.

Nor a school.

Nor a database.

We orbit.

We pass through.

We emit fragments.

  • The tracker alternates between immersion in the field and analytical distance, between sensory attention and hypothesis.

    “Why is he here?” ...

    “What happened there?” ...

    “Where did they go?” …

From its earliest origins, tracking has gathered together a remarkable range of abilities essential to the life of any animal. In distant times, these questions carried immediate consequences. To read the traces of another being often meant finding food, or failing to survive.

Today, in a world organised around supermarkets and technological infrastructures, survival no longer depends directly on these skills. Yet tracking has not lost its relevance (see Our Mission). On the contrary, at a time when modern societies often experience a widening separation between mind, body and the living world, the practice brings together forms of perception, reasoning and embodied knowledge that allow living beings to navigate complex environments.

  • Followly collects fragments and quietly orchestrates them for you, behind the scenes.

The structure may be complex, but for you, the experience is meant to feel simple. Like a walk.

Followly aims to open breathing spaces within the often over-structured architectures of contemporary narratives.

    Small passages.
    Porosities.

Here, we offer guidance — but not too much.

There are no rigid itineraries. No motorway logic. There are orientations, encounters, invitations to follow certain traces. sometimes you follow a path, sometimes you notice something slightly off to the side and decide to explore it.

You may explore the project by format (on this page) or choose another path through territories or characters.

Whichever direction you take, let your curiosity, or simply your sense of beauty lead the way.

You are welcome to wander here for as long as you like.
